The Role:
As Charity Manager, you will be responsible for the strategic and operational leadership of our organization, ensuring efficient day-to-day management, successful project delivery, and sustainable growth, working closely with Trustees and a dedicated team of volunteers to achieve our goals. Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic & Operational Leadership: Develop and implement annual strategies, policies, and procedures to support the charity's objectives.
- Team & Volunteer Management: Recruit, inspire, motivate, and manage staff and volunteers, fostering a positive environment.
- Fundraising & Income Generation: Lead fundraising initiatives, cultivate donor relationships, manage grant applications, and organize events.
- Financial Management: Monitor budgets, manage spending, maintain accurate records, and report financial status to the Board working alongside the charity Treasurer.
- Governance & Compliance: Ensure the charity meets all legal, regulatory, and governance requirements.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with donors, partners, external agencies, and the community.
- Communications: Support marketing efforts to raise awareness and promote the charity's work.
- Facilities & Administration: Oversee office operations, premises, and essential administrative support.

- Proven leadership and management experience, ideally in the charity sector.
- Strong understanding of fundraising, financial management, and governance.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, IT, social media and motivational skills.
- Ability to work strategically and manage day-to-day operations effectively.
